Together Anything Is Possible

Standard

I decided a couple of days ago to try making a card with the Close To My Heart March Stamp of the Month set (see CTMH Specials page for details).  The set is called Potential and contains two sentiments, which are “Anything is possible” and “We’re in this together”.  So I thought it would be fitting to try and design a his and hers card with a pink and blue colour palette.

The card, flowers and banner were cut out with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I love the bracket edge on the bottom of the card.  It worked really well with the shape of the big, swirly stamp.  Another really fun thing I tried was taking a piece of color-ready seam binding ribbon and stamping it.  Here are the things I used to colour the ribbon…

You can see the finished ribbon at the top of the picture.  To get to that point I took a pink Copic marker and coloured the ribbon with it.  I then took Outdoor Denim ink (navy blue) and stamped the ribbon with a swirly stamp from the Potential stamp set.  The finished ribbon is so pretty.  I will definitely do this again.  The ribbon was glued around the bottom of the card (pleated) and the leftover was used for a bow, which I glued underneath the big blue rose.

For the pink background matte, I decided to emboss a fleur de lis pattern with my Cuttlebug.  I stamped the “Together…” on the pink tag and glued it to the navy tag, then added a couple of blue/grey pearl accents.  The roses were sponged with ink and glued underneath the tag.  And the last thing I did was stamp the inside of the card.

Had to get a few more swirlies in there somehow!

That’s it for today.  Until next time …

Happy crafting!
