Everyday Adventure

Standard

Hello!  Today I will be sharing a couple of projects I made for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog.  The theme this week is, fittingly, back to school.  Anyone can take part but you must use mostly Close To My Heart products in order to play.

And now without further ado…I missed last week’s challenge because I was away and had no access to my stash, so I combined two challenges on this card.  Last week was a colour challenge using Pear, Lagoon and Sunset.  I don’t think of these colours as typical fall/back to school colours but I liked the way this turned out!To start off, I cut a strip of Pear card stock and stamped these images from the It’s Your Day and Little Reminder stamp sets.  Very schoolish don’t you think?I stamped the Honor Roll flag in Lagoon ink and adhered it to the top of the card.  Using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge I cut out the notebook paper, circle and star shapes and inked them up using various stamp sets – Universal Backgrounds, Scholastic Workshop On The Go stamp set, School Rocks and It’s Your Day.I glued the 3 different sized stars together and finished it with a clear button.  The sentiment tag was cut out of one of the Dotty For You patterned papers and stamped using an It’s Your Day sentiment.  The little green flowery stamp at the bottom is from the Enjoy stamp set.  Last but not least, I added the Lagoon Baker’s Twine down the side of the card to hide the seam between the Pear and Sunset papers. My second project is one I made about a month ago and featured in my August Close To My Heart newsletter.  This little treat box is a snap to make if you have the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I cut it out and added a piece of acetate to the window.  I stamped the sentiment and then assembled the box using double sided tape.  The apple is my favourite part of this box.  I made it by stamping the apple in Tulip ink onto white card stock, cutting it out and glittering it up with Prisma Glitter.  I then squeezed a liberal amount of Liquid Glass over the top and let it dry for about an hour.  A red bow and some Jelly Belly’s and voila!  A great little treat box for your new teacher.

Have a lovely day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

About papercraftnut

I am a working mom of two great kids and married to a wonderful man who is very supportive of my paper crafting addiction! I discovered paper crafts while organizing birthday parties for my kids. It was so fun to make the invitations, decorations and loot bags. The fun hasn't stopped and now I LOVE anything paper!
