Hello folks! It feels like ages since I’ve posted anything. But not to worry – I have two cards I made for the Out of a Hat Challenge this week. They are asking for Easter bonnets and after searching the internet for ideas, I decided to opt for a couple of vintage Easter pictures with bonnets in them.
These little Easter chicks are so adorable and a sure sign of spring. I wish we were seeing spring here. We’ve had nothing but snow, snow, snow!
My second card showcases a different sort of Easter chick! She’s just hatched too but hasn’t quite come out of her shell yet ;0) The strip of patterned paper down the right side was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and then inked with Desert Sand ink. The focal image was framed using kraft card stock, cut on the Cricut, and then mounted onto a piece of aqua blue card stock. Lastly, the paper flowers were glued down the left side and adorned with pearls.
That’s it from me today. I will just make it under the wire for the challenge so I must be off to add my post! Have a lovely week and happy crafting!

Brilliant cards Tracy and great to have you join in at the Hatters with them.
It is still cold here and nothing at all like Spring
Love Chrissie xx
LOVE your Easter chick! The whole thing is FABulously SHABby chic, but I esp like how you captured the essence of the pussy-willow, with those glitter paper/pearl elements in the corners.
A couple of great cards, I love the colours and the vintage pictures! Thanks for playing along with us at Out of a hat creations. Tracey x
